The Macallan Edition No. 6 was made with inspiration from the River Spey. This river flows all along the Macallan Estate .The Macallan Edition No. 6 is a beautiful combination of the five types of seasoned sherry casks which comes from different cooperages. These cooperages are both American and European oak. The taste is that of a toffee with caramelized nuts along with raisins and a small amount of mocha. Hints of some spicy oak and baking spices like cinnamon and ginger. With all these bold tastes, you will experience a plummy sweetness which is missed in whiskey's. All of these flavors all together gives a taste of caramel coated nuts with peppery warmth, cinnamon and chocolates with toasted oats.
